2025-2026 Utah Fits All Application Portal Timeline
• January 21, 2025: Application window opens for Renewals — This applies to returning scholarship students only
• March 3, 2025: Application window opens for New Applicants
• May 1, 2025: Application window closes for all applicants (new and renewal)
• Within 30 days after the portal closes: Scholarship awards will be announced for the 2025-2026 academic year

Updates & Motion to Intervene
If you haven’t heard, the Utah Education Association (UEA) filed a lawsuit against the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program. This is a tactic taken by teacher unions in every state that passes significant school choice legislation.

Motion to Intervene
A motion has been filed to defend against the lawsuit attacking the Program. We’ve been communicating with the fine people filing this motion for over a year now regarding their preparation for the possibility of just such an action being taken against our school choice law. The Partnership—a joint project of the Institute for Justice (IJ) and EdChoice intends to represent families participating in the program against the legal challenge.

Student Scholarship Award Notification
September 1, 2023 – Utah State Board of Education (USBE) released the RFP for the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program Manager
September 29, 2023 – Deadline to submit proposals for Program Manager to the USBE
October 20, 2023 – USBE released the following statement on awarding Alliance for Choice in Education Scholarships (ACE Scholarships) as the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program Manager, “The Evaluation Committee determined ACE Scholarship’s proposal met the minimum requirements, the pricing and terms were reasonable as they were within the stated budget, and the proposal was in the best interest of USBE. For these reasons and those stated above, the Evaluation Committee has determined that the proposal submitted by ACE Scholarships provides the best value to USBE.”

November 3, 2023 – USBE approved the contract with ACE Scholarships, making them the official Program Manager for the Utah Fits All Scholarship.
January 16 – March 1 2024 – Utah Legislative Session
February 1, 2024 – Qualifying Provider Application Portal Opens.
Portal remains open year round.
February 28 – April 22, 2024 – Utah Education Fits All Scholarship Application Portal is Open
