Thank you for empowering some Utah families with the responsibility and freedom to choose the education they desire for their children. My husband and I view education as a parental responsibility and privilege. The education we provide to our children will not only benefit them, their family, their community, but ultimately the world.
We decided to homeschool when our two sons were in the second and first grade. My husband and I counseled together and decided I would quit my employment to stay home and homeschool. The direction of the public schools was not meeting our expectations for a safe and challenging learning environment. We want our children to find joy in the educational journey throughout their lives.
Our sons are now in junior high where we are seeking to continue to tailor their education to strong academic learning in the sciences, mathematics, language arts, languages, and special interests. We do not have the financial means for private schooling which teaches Christian values and our core academic values. We desire to elevate their learning and opportunities!
It is our desire every family, including ours, will have the opportunity should they choose to fully utilize the Utah Fits All Scholarships to provide the education needed to prepare their children for the future. Our plea is that this program can be funded to include all children, without putting limitations on the number of participants.
