My name is Emilee and I homeschool my two young sons, who are 9 and 6. This is our third year of homeschooling and we received the Utah Fits All Scholarship for the 2024-25 school year. The scholarship has been a huge blessing — truly a Godsend — for our homeschool. It has allowed us to provide our boys with the resources they need for success. Previously, we were doing everything out of our own pocket, and had to be very careful about the materials we could provide. The scholarship has allowed us to give our students more books, swimming lessons, computers, and educational experiences.
As we head into 2025, we are facing a major change in our family’s finances. My husband will no longer be receiving a regular guaranteed income through the next year, as we are making a pivot into an entrepreneurial opportunity. We are able to make sacrifices, but we don’t want our children to go without. The Utah Fits All Scholarship has made it possible for us to make this professional choice, because we know our sons will still have access to great educational resources. We are so grateful for the scholarship.
