We were hopeful to receive a Utah Fits All Scholarship this past year for my two boys, 12-year old Ty, and 10-year old Kipton, but unfortunately were not chosen.

Recently, the Alpine School District closed a neighboring school, resulting in an influx of students into our elementary school without the appropriate resources (space, teachers, etc…) to handle these additional students. Based on their academic reports, both my kids are at the top end of their class and above grade level. Unfortunately, due to enlarged class sizes and lack of resources, they are essentially ignored and are not being challenged. Much of their time is spent on an ipad doing i-Ready as the rest of the class works through items my boys have already completed.

We have explored charter and private school options. Charter schools have been full and private school options are expensive. This has us considering homeschooling options, which are not ideal for our situation. Having access to Utah Fits All would allow us to put our boys in a situation that would challenge and push them to reach their potential.
