I am a mom of five kids at home ranging from age 17 down to 3 months. I have homeschooled for six years. We have done charter schools, but chose to go independent for more freedom. I wanted a Christ-centered, old classic education for my children. Focused not only on current academics in math and English, but also a focus on poetry, music, and lots of learning about American politics.
Being a big family, we live paycheck to paycheck no matter how hard my husband works. Even with two jobs we couldn’t get ahead. I never had much of a budget for education. After our last two babies were in the picture it became harder to give each child the focus they deserved. I needed a miracle. The Utah Fits ALL Scholarship has helped me do something I would never have been able to do and that’s enroll my children into a private, Christian online homeschool. They have teachers, counselors, and support rooms. My kids know when I can’t, they have someone else who can. I feel overwhelmingly blessed that my kids won’t be left behind thanks to this opportunity.
